In summer 2016, Särkänniemi welcomed the headline-breaking thrill ride X! A 360 degrees rotating pendulum-like ride holding up to 30 passengers 30 meters above the ground at its highest. The maximum speed of X is 80km/h and acceleration can reach a staggering 4,7g. In comparison, a space rocket at launch reaches around 3g. This ride is truly aimed towards the more demanding thrill seekers!

The Creepy Carnival 2019

The Creepy Carnival is coming again – and creepier than ever! The most terrifyingly entertaining event of the autumn takes place in Särkänniemi during Autumn Break 2020. Welcome to the most chilling event of the autumn season!
The Creepy Carnival gets its inspiration from exotic carnival culture and night time fairs. In October, you get to experience Särkänniemi and its beautifully lit amusement park rides in the atmospheric twilight darkness of autumn evenings. The Creepy Carnival is an event for all ages!
Most of Särkänniemi’s rides are open during the Creepy Carnival. The complete list of rides will be annpunced closer the event. Please note that the rides are subject to height restrictions and that they may close due to bad weather.
In addition to the rides, the dazzling Creepy Carnival programme will entertain guests of all ages. Circus and fire performers, colorful dancers, creepy zombies, and all kinds of other entertainment guarantee that you will have a wonderful day in Särkänniemi!

Karmiva karnevaali on saanut vaikutteita eksoottisesta karnevaalikulttuurista ja iltativolitunnelmasta. Lokakuussa pääset kokemaan Särkänniemen huvilaitteet myös tunnelmalliseen pimeään vuodenaikaan ja upeasti valaistuina.

Särkänniemi is an amusement park in Tampere, Finland. The park features an aquarium, a planetarium, a children's zoo, an art museum, an observation tower Näsinneula (Näsi Needle). Särkänniemi is the most popular amusement park in Finland with Linnanmäki in Helsinki. Särkänniemi has five, 6th under construction rollercoasters: inverted coaster Tornado, flying coaster Trombi, MotoGee, Half Pipe and Hype, a launched steel coaster Sky Rocket II opening in spring 2017, and family coaster Vauhtimato ("Whirly Worm"). Särkänniemi is owned by the city of Tampere and attracts about 1.100.000 visitors per annum. Särkänniemi is the biggest rival for Linnanmäki as the lead amusement park in Finland.
Särkänniemi has been voted several times as the best leisure center and the greatest amusement park in Finland.

Särkänniemi on Suomen toiseksi suurin huvipuisto. Se avattiin vuonna 1969. Nykyään puistoa kutsutaan virallisesti elämyspuistoksi, mikä viittaa kohteiden monipuoliseen tarjontaan. Särkänniemi koostuu viidestä elämyskohteesta, jotka ovat Huvipuisto, akvaario, planetaario, Näsinneulan näkötorni ja Koiramäki. Lisäksi alueella toimii Tampereen kaupungin hallinnoimasta Sara Hildénin taidemuseo ja vuonna 2016 avattavu SuperPark Särkänniemi.
