Jones' most notable rivalry would be against Daniel Cormier amounting to 2 fights at UFC 182 and UFC 214 where Jones was stripped after both fights. Jones was stripped of his UFC lightheavyweight title the first time due to violating the UFC's code of conduct after a felony hit and run incident as well as testing positive for Cocaine. The second time Jones lost his title it was because he tested positive for estrogen blockers ahead of UFC 200. Then Jones lost his lightheavyweight title after knocking out Cormier at UFC 214 due to popping for steroids called Turinabol. Jones recaptured his lightheavyweigh title by finishing Alexander Gustafsson and defending his title 3 times with performances against Anthony Smith, Thiago Santos and Dominick Reyes, the latter of which many thought Jon Jones lost. Jones then vacated his championship to move up to heavyweight and submit Ciryl Gane to become the undisputed UFC heavyweight champion. He then defended his title against Stipe Miocic. Overall, Jon Jones' championship legacy in the UFC is one of controversy and dominance.
