IT WORKS! Record the "MicroFreak Sequence Playing" with the Keystep

Today I had another moment of inspiration. There was this idea, this spark, this moment of superiority between man and machine. Alright, let's see.

Set up:
Keystep Pro playing the sequence on the MicroFreak
MicroFreak (Sequence)
Volca Bass (Lead)
PO-33 (beats)

As you know, sequences recorded with the MicroFreak can also be played. I have uploaded a tutorial for this here:    • Tutorial: Playing(with) the Sequencer...  

OK so far so good. But what you can still do is transform the sequence into a different scaling. And here you get wonderful results.

But you still have to do a lot yourself and that doesn't bring any variety to your jam.

So I thought to myself: Can't you record this with the Keystep Pro? So the first thing I tried was to play the sequences and record them scaled into the keystep. Unfortunately, the notes that the MicroFreak outputs are not identical to what you play. I therefore still consider the possibility of scaling the sequence afterwards to be a bug that will hopefully never be fixed.

Alright, then the other way around. I play the sequence on the Keystep Pro and record it. I need 4 times a 64 step sequence. Is the? Sure, the Keystep Pro can do much more with the Chain Function. But 4 should be enough. As xou can see from 3:00 on I am triggering the MicroFreak a 2. Time with Track 4. This gives the whole jam a bit of harmonic.

At that point I actually wanted to record a tutorial for you, but when I connected the PO 33 I also wanted to play a little lead with the Volca Bass and then I got lost in my own jam. Terrible.

But you'll get your tutorial, I promise. Until then, you can follow the steps given yourself and see if it works.
