In 1917, the Mexican communist party was established. The man behind the formation was not a Mexican, but an Indian. It was MN Roy, a highly motivated communist revolutionary who had escaped to Mexico because of a completely different reason. His endeavours to get India independent took him to different parts of the world, and forming the communist party of mexico, was just one of this endeavour. His loyalty towards communism drew him close to Lenin, who trusted him to seed India's communist party as well. But, the man who led the formation of communist parties in two countries abandoned communism a few years later. In this video we narrate this fascinating story of one of India's first global leaders.
