It is a snowy and freezing morning here in the mountain village. Despite the storm, our daily chores must go on.
I started the day by collecting firewood from the snow to get the stove running. My sister helped by washing the vegetables in the cold water, while I started cooking outdoors. Today's recipe is special: Chicken slowly cooked with milk, peas, and potatoes.
We mashed the ingredients, added spices and eggs, and fried them to perfection. My mother baked fresh bread to go with it. After tending to the farm animals, we sat together in our warm mud house for a comforting meal.
