This is to document my Pella dual casement window rot and failure at the bottom of the sash. These were manufactured in April of 2000 and installed between 2001-2002.
There is a class action lawsuit against Pella stemming from these types of failures. This unfortunately is a very common issue with the Proline series.
I replaced both of the sashes myself for around $400, but it would have cost double to have a contractor do it.
