Webinar VOD | Are you a Qualified Electrical Worker according to NFPA 70E?

Описание к видео Webinar VOD | Are you a Qualified Electrical Worker according to NFPA 70E?

It’s ironic that when it comes to electrical work, everyone who has access to a screwdriver and a piece of duct tape thinks that may qualify them enough to perform the job. Historical data and accident reports suggest that most electrical accidents that occur are primarily caused by the workers' failure to identify the nature of the hazards associated with the job and further not having proper training and tools to perform the job. Some workers assume that having theoretical knowledge would suffice to perform the job, while others think hands-on experience is all that matters. This webinar will discuss the specifics of what makes a worker “electrically” qualified and further explains that qualification is not a one-time thing which makes a person electrically qualified through the tenure of his/her service on an infinite number of systems and equipment. The webinar will also discuss worker qualifications, training requirements, retraining requirements, and documentation needs per NFPA 70E standards.

Learning objectives:
• What is Minimally-Qualified vs. Safe
• NFPA 70E definitions for qualified and unqualified workers
• Testing and training requirements
• Use of Training Guides
• Demonstrated Proficiency requirements
• Emergency procedures
