If your looking for free things to do and see in Northern Ireland, this is a fantastic way to spend a day. In this video, I attempt to climb to the summit of Slieve Binnian in the Mournes, the third highest mountain in Northern Ireland.

I started my hike from the Carrick Little car park and followed the Slieve Binnian Forest Drive trail. The trail was well-maintained and easy enough to follow, but it was also quite steep in places and really tested my fragile body!.

After about 3 hours, I reached my highest point on the mountain.

The descent was supposed to be just as challenging and much further and I wanted to complete the Slieve Binnian Loop.

Overall, it was an amazing experience and I'm so glad I tried it! If you're looking for a challenging but rewarding hike, I highly recommend climbing Slieve Binnian.
