Thank you for taking the time to watch our 2010-2013 Chevrolet Camaro rear bumper cover replacement video. This Camaro rear bumper cover is actually very easy to remove. Replacing the rear bumper components, or wire harness, tail lights, etc, is time-consuming. This is one of the best bumpers GMC/Chevrolet has designed. There are several models for the Chevy Camaro but they should all be the same from the LS to the ZL1. The differences are slight body modifications as well as engine and interior differences. Let's get started.

TOOLS NEEDED:
You will need a torques bit T10 bit for the fender liner screws. You will need a panel clip removal tool for the bezels. You will also need a Philp's screwdriver and a flat-head screwdriver. You will need a rachet with a 7mm socket. If you are going to swap the bumper retainers, you will need a drill, rivets, and a rivet gun.

PROCESS:
This bumper is very easy to remove but it does have a lot of components on the bumper that will take up the majority of your time. This bumper was for our quality & control tech Camaro. He was racing and caught something on the road that ripped his rear bumper off. We didn't have to remove the fender liner bolts but you will. They are held on by torques bit bolts/screws. Once that is removed, you can take off the top clips under the trunk on each end. Now, you can simply pop the bumper off the frame by pulling it from the corners, or wheels. Be sure to unplug the wire hares, you do not want to pull it too hard. Now you are ready for the longest part, transferring the bumper accessories. Disconnect the wire harness and put it to the side. Our parking sensors were ripped off, so we didn't have any to remove. Remove all the light fixtures. All of the lights are clipped on and a few of them are held on by nuts. Remove all the light fixtures. Take off your lower valance or in our case, the ground effects kit. This is easier said than done but install everything onto your new bumper. Just work in reverse and be sure to not miss a nut or screw. The clips work very well on the Camaro but it will not hold forever without the nuts/screws. The lower valance clips on and the ground effects kit are held on by double-sided 3M tape. Make sure the bumper is clean before you apply the tape. If the area is clean, the tape will hold for much longer. We had to change out our bumper brackets. You may not have to but it's not difficult. Drill ou the rivets and snap the new brackets on. You will need a rivet gun but they are affordable at your hardware store. Now you can mount the bumper to the car. It helps if you have someone helping, it is a large bumper and you do not want to scratch your quarter panels. Secure the fender liner and the top clips and you are finished.
