Mohamad Mohty, MD, PhD, Saint-Antoine Hospital, Paris, France, discusses strategies being explored for acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease (GvHD), highlighting the advancements in prophylaxis with post-transplant cyclophosphamide (PTCy) and anti-thymocyte globulin (ATG), as well as the approval of ruxolitinib for steroid-refractory acute GvHD. Prof. Mohty also discusses the potential of microbiota modulation with MaaT013, the excitement around belumosudil, and further highlights other agents that have shown promising results in both clinical and real-world settings. This interview took place at the 51st Annual Meeting of the EBMT in Florence, Italy.
