Definitely some of the strangest species around, mudskippers give a whole new meaning to the phrase "fish out of water". Their natural habitat is mangrove swamps - like the one in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa where cameraman Boris von Schoenebeck sat very quietly to capture the images of these quirky creatures in action at 400 frames per second.
