⚾ The 16th edition of the Yankees HOPE Week (Helping Others Persevere & Excel) kicked off Monday with the honoring of Long Island nonprofit Love, Nana run by Joan Hyland. Yankees players spent the morning with Hyland packing bundles of baby clothes for families in need on Long Island and the surrounding boroughs.

Love, Nana is backed by Backyard Players & Friends, an organization that Hyland's daughters started that provides programming for teens and young adults with intellectual disabilities or autism.

During every HOPE Week the Yankees, over a five-day span, the team will honor an individual, organization or family who take action to uplift their own community.
