nees@berkeley project highlight: International Hybrid Simulation of Tomorrow's Braced Frame

Описание к видео nees@berkeley project highlight: International Hybrid Simulation of Tomorrow's Braced Frame

These experimental research tests at nees@berkeley are part of the NEES small group project International Hybrid Simulation of Tomorrow's Braced Frame Systems," which includes researchers from the US, Japan and Taiwan. The major objective of the project is to use advanced hybrid simulation research methods and to develop performance-based tools and techniques for advanced seismic engineering of steel braced frame systems. Large-scale specimens of steel concentrically braced frames with different configurations and connection details were tested at nees@berkeley including SCBF, BRBF, and innovative braced frame systems. Hybrid simulation was also used during testing to help develop and validate hybrid simulation techniques for geographically distributed hybrid simulations of steel braced frame buildings.
