Wihu Kuq festival at Mpang (Renuk), 15th February 2021. (12) Nighttime Wihu singing (2)

The second of eight recordings of Wihu songs sung informally during the night of the Wihu festival. This was performed by Lungkhum (Lungzkhumx Lungztuc), who is singing a Wihu song while dancing, together with Pangten (Pvungztenc Yogkaq);

This is the twelfth of 18 videos recorded by Mr Wanglung Mossang at Mpang (Mzpangx), documenting the Wihu Kuq (Wizhuiux Kuiuq in Muishvung (Mossang)) on 15th February 2021.

All the Wihu songs were recorded in the house belonging to Mr Thankho (Htanxkhoc Jixhtanx), just below the festival ground.

Note that the actual name of this village is Mpang (Mzpangx, also spelled Mzpawx) but it is officially known as Renuk (Rvnuk) because many of the Muishvung (Mossang) people moved there from the original Renuk village.
