My name is Sabine and I am from Austria.
I decided to challenge myself and that leads me to my volunteer project.
Not knowing the language and the culture I chose to come to Finland.
It's been almost one month since I came here to Tornio (Lapland).
Since it's my first time moving out to a strange country, I felt lost in the beginning.
No family, no friends, not the same language, not the same culture, not the same food etc. ...
Adapting myself in a completely new area was definitively challenging.

But hey TIME FLIES! Especially when you are having fun.
I got the chance to meet a lot of amazing new people that grew to my heart!
They became my FRIENDS and that make us to a BIG INTERNATIONAL FAMILY.
I’m thankful for my struggle because without it I wouldn’t have stumbled across my strength.

It is hard to find words to express my gratitude.
Thanks to everyone for making this happen!
