Delegation refers to the administrative process where the superior assigns specific responsibilities along with the required authority to his subordinate.

1. Decide duties of subordinates beforehand and assigning accordingly
2. Transfer of authority from superior to subordinate
3. Acceptance of assignment from subordinate
4. Creation of responsibility to perform the responsibility satisfactorily
