Hamas Says Hostage "Killed in IDF Strike", IDF on "Outskirts of Litani River”, Bombs Syria Crossing

Hamas's armed wing said an Israeli woman taken hostage during the October 2023 attack had been killed in northern Gaza. Hamas claimed the female Israeli hostage had been killed in an area of northern Gaza that had been struck by Israeli forces. Hamas claimed that communication with the woman’s captors had recently been restored after several weeks, leading to the discovery of her death. The woman's identity was not revealed by Hamas, and it was unclear how or when she is said to have died.
