Описание к видео White Too Long: Robert P. Jones Discusses White Supremacy and Christianity with Emma Jordan-Simpson

At a time when secular institutions are attempting to reconcile with a history of racial inequality, revisit a conversation that seeks to bring the same sense of reckoning to the historical entanglement of white supremacy in American Christianity.

Robert P. Jones, CEO and founder of Public Religion Research Institute and a leading scholar of religion and politics, shares his latest work, White Too Long: The Legacy of White Supremacy in American Christianity, which puts forth a thorough examination of the history of interdenominational complicity with white supremacy, and argues for congregations to embrace a theology of racial justice. Jones was joined in conversation by the Rev. Dr. Emma Jordan-Simpson, Executive Pastor of The Concord Baptist Church of Christ in Brooklyn, Executive Director of Fellowship of Reconciliation USA, and a leader in many other nonprofit and social justice communities.

Recorded September 23, 2020.
