How to connect delay/effects to Tascam Model 12: Aux 1 and Sub-Output

Описание к видео How to connect delay/effects to Tascam Model 12: Aux 1 and Sub-Output

When I first got the Tascam Model 12 ,I wanted to run effects through it. Naturally after some time I wanted more sends, so I figured to utilize the sub out put of the Tascam Model 12( as seen in my oldest video at a recording studio). With proper gain staging , it is just a matter of some connections. At first I did not know the difference between balanced and unbalanced cables. I experimented by connecting anything I could get my hands on at first.

Aux 1- When you run a delay out of the aux outputs you essentially have a Wet/Dry knob that mixes the affected signal. You can feed back the delay on itself by turning the aux knob on the return channel ( Big thank you to Dub Cavern Mikey for the knowledge ! ( DANGER/CAUTION/PELIGROSO this creates a feedback loop which can destroy the gear and more importantly your health/ears) when in doubt lower all faders, turn off speakers and then the unit if in doubt. Disconnect all effects.

Sub-Output - When you run effects out of the sub, the master volume is controlled by the Sub-output fader. The effects still has to be returned to a channel on the model 12. The "sub" button is in-between the " main" and "solo" button. Each channel has the grey, 3 row, square selection. When pressed in it is %100 wet , unlike the AUX knob, there is no blending or control, but alas, the fader can be used to manipulate the feeding back. It is common to ride the fader through out the performance bring in and out the dub element of the hard echoes or whatever you choose to connect.

Big thank you for watching and please feel to leave any feedback. My speech isn't all the best but my heart and sentiment is in the right place! dub on.
