9. Boa Constrictor
The Boa Constrictor is arguably mostly recognized for being huge. Boa Constrictors can grow up to 5.5 meters (18 feet long), which is enough to scare most people just by saying that out loud! Plus, they weigh around 45 kg, which is a substantial weight for a snake that long.

8. Yellow Anaconda
While no anaconda is as large as the ones seen in those horror films (you know the ones I'm talking about), they're still not ones to be messed with. The Yellow Anaconda can grow to be up to 15 feet long, which if you think about it, is double the height of a very tall human.

7. Indian Python
You're going to be seeing a LOT of pythons on this list, and what can I say, this particular species of snake knows how to grow to large sizes. For example, coming in 19 feet long, the Indian Python is quite a large snake, and one that has a particular set of skills that make it a skilled predator.

6. Amethystine Python
The largest snake in Australia is known as the Amethystine Python. This massive snake is one of the longest and largest snakes in the whole world. It comes in at around 25.5 feet at its maximum length. They also have an interesting nickname, the Scrub Python, though I'm pretty sure that isn't meant in a disrespectful way.

5. African Rock Python
Africa is home to many creatures, and many, many predators, and that includes one of the largest snakes in the world today, the African Rock Python. If not already obvious, this is the biggest snake in Africa, with a length of 22.5 feet and weighing up to 114 kg,, it's big, and that makes it a deadly threat in Central and Western Africa.

4. Burmese Python
Snakes may be terrifying, but they can also be rather beautiful creatures. Their skin is known for having distinct patterns, and the Burmese Python has some very cool markings.
These pythons can grow around 23 feet, and can weigh up to 137 kg.

3. Reticulated Python
You ever hear about a fisherman talking about they got a fish "this big", well, snakes are not immune to such stories, and people who see the reticulated python are so impressed (and maybe shocked) that their concept of size can get way out of proportion. Technically it is the longest snake on this list.

2. Green Anaconda
Now, like most species of snake, the length of the Green Anaconda can change. It can be as small as 18 feet (which in my opinion isn't small at all) but at its max, can be up to 30 feet long. That's a really big snake. Weight wise, they're about twice as heavy as the Reticulated Python, which is also a scary thought, to be honest.

1. Titanoboa
One of the reasons why people are glad they don't live in the ancient eras is that there were a lot of scary things around back then. We're not just talking dinosaurs and mammoths, there were giant insects, sharks, crocodiles, and yes, massive snakes. The biggest one of all, and the one that tops my list today is in fact the largest snake ever found: The Titanoboa.
