Erik Kramer was a quarterback for the Chicago Bears from 1994 to 1998.

A 2 year starter out of NC State, Kramer entered the NFL in 1987 as an undrafted free agent with New Orleans Saints and then with the Atlanta Falcons during the 1987 NFL player strike.

He spent the next three years in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Calgary Stampeders. In 1991 he returned to the NFL with the Detroit Lions and earned some playing time compiling a 10–5 record over three seasons.

In 1994, he signed a contract with the Bears to be their starting quarterback. With the Bears he started 46 games and threw for over ten thousand yards in his five years with the Bears. Kramer currently holds the Bears' single-season record for passing yards (3,838) and touchdown passes (29).
