12 Years With an ESP Kirk Hammett Signature Guitar - Fade to Black Solo (Metallica Cover)

I got this guitar in September of 2007 from a Sam Ash in Huntington, New York. It had been my dream guitar for a while, after some years playing a cheap Kapok Strat copy. Now, in 2019, I rarely play it as I'm mostly playing blues on my Fender Strat as my tastes have changed.

Picking it up now, even though I'm out of practice when it comes to shredding, the muscle memory kicks in as I feel the frets and the neck that make up this excellent instrument. During my formative years playing guitar, I would play this solo (of my favourite song of all time) every single day - to the chagrin of my roommates at the time I'm sure.

Even though I no longer use it more than once or twice a month, I can't part with it. It's been with me through many hard times in my life and I even nearly lost it once due to an airline mishandling. Its sentimental value is immense and I would ideally always want it nearby throughout my days.
