The pro-Romney Super PAC "Restore Our Future", secretly funded by extremely wealthy 90 individuals and corporations, is out with an ad, "Now You See The Problem", attacking President Obama with outright lies and distortions.

The ad starts off with an old tactic by the McCain/Palin campaign of 2008 by trying to ridicule his work as a community organizer by asking, "How many jobs did Obama create as a community organizer?".  It immediately flashes a misleading "zero".

From 1985 to 1988 Barack Obama worked as director of the Developing Communities Project, where he set up a jobs training program, and many individuals who took part ended up employed or better employed as a result of his efforts.

As President he has introduced The American Jobs Act only to be blocked on every turn by Romney's Republican buddies.

Restore Our Future's's ad then quickly flashes a graphic of: "jobless rate has been over 8% for years", while ignoring headlines showing how the jobless rate has been declining on a consistent basis.

The ad then claims that Romney "turned around companies",  leaving out that he dismantled other companies, throwing thousands of people out of work.

The Super PAC claims that Romney "created thousands of jobs", yet many of the "jobs" he created, such as as a cashier jobs at Staples, were not even "created". These big box retailers drive small stores out of business, and re-hire the displaced workers.

In addition, jobs at stores such as Staples are not careers and cannot exactly pay a mortgage and help you achieve the American dream.

Virtually everything in Staples is "Made in China"; so Romney may have created jobs, but most of them overseas.

Finally, don't be fooled, Bain capital was out to make millions not to provide jobs. In fact, Bain made sure that it never lost money when it shut down a company and sent people to the unemployment line.

Then the ad asserts that Romney turned around the Massachusetts state budget without raising taxes, which is very misleading.

Instead of "raising taxes", Romney created new taxes for Internet sales; ...and he created 33 new "fees" and raised 57 "fees" for licenses, court fillings, state services and gasoline delivery fees.

[and] When Romney cut state services, cities and towns had to increase property taxes, which resulted in $100 million dollars more in property taxes for local business owners.

The ad then ends with the misleading statement that Mitt Romney has a "detailed plan to turn around America's economy".

The Romney Plan is even more extreme than the Ryan Plan, slashing Social Security and Medicare by 25%, gutting investments in infrastructure and energy programs, and cutting job training and placement programs.

..and of course lowering taxes for the 1%.

Super PACs like "Restore Our Future" are a corrupting and corrosive influence on our politics, which run deceptive ads funded by 1 per centers and unaccountable to the FEC.
