Описание к видео The final farewell of the British Airways Boeing 747-436 | 08/10/20 | G-CIVB & G-CIVY

Today was absolute history...
8th October 2020. The weather isn't the best of state but I must admit that it did suit the atmosphere of the event that was taking place today at London Heathrow. In July 1989, the first 2 Boeing 747-436s arrived at London Heathrow Airport. They were G-BNLA (Lima Alpha) & G-BNLC (Lima Charlie) landing in the famous City Of Swansea Landor Livery (that can be found on now retired G-BNLY). And when we fast forward to 2020, that is 31 beautiful years of the 747-436 with British Airways. British Airways have kept that trend with 2 of the last ever 747-436s at Heathrow. They are G-CIVB (Victor Bravo) & G-CIVY (Victor Yankee). With G-CIVB using BA400, it took off straight from 27R and looped several times as a way for pilots to get better visibility but also to stay in the 747 and remember it and then shortly arrived at Kemble's Cotsworld Airport. She will most likely be preserved at the Kemble Museum as a Historic Piece. Whenever it is open I should come by to see it! G-CIVY used BA747 and was to perform a low fly by at the southern runway 27L right after a take off at 27R. After the 747 completed the fly by, it gained altitude and made its way to St. Athan (DGX) where it will be sadly scrapped. This is definitely the most momentous moment for all UK Aviation Enthusiasts with people getting all teary eyed.
Personally for me, I was. As a child, I used to see these 747-436s come into Heathrow as if they were so common. BA ordered 57 of the -436s. From G-BNLA in 1989 to G-BYGG in 1999. After 1 decade of delivering. So as the last 2 did depart, I had some tears. The fact that I'll never see another British Airways Boeing 747-436 land at Heathrow ever again.

As you can see, I collaborated with another fellow YouTuber who has was more subscribers than me. The videos that you can see are the take offs of Victor Bravo & Victor Yankee & Victor Bravo performing a fantastic approach at Kemble Cotsworld Airport (GBA). As obviously, I couldn't go to Heathrow and Kemble in the same day, let alone be there in an hour without special teleporting powers. Although, this collaboration is the first one I did. And I am really happy with how it turned out. It definitely makes the video much more special. As said himself, thank you to not only British Airways and Heathrow for making this amazing day a reality with the low fly by but also to Kemble's staff. They decided to let the plane spotters access to the airport to witness this amazing moment. It has truly been an incredible day for the U.K. Aviation Enthusiasts but also an extremely emotional one.

I would love to say thank you all for the support. This video was recorded with my new camera which is why it is pretty shaky. But as Casey said, the emotion and goodbyes is all that matters. The video can be used to watch over the years as the best fond memories. Below is Casey (the YouTuber I collaborated with) and a video of the fly by. I did sorta catch it but I mainly got photos. I must say though that the fly by is just super awesome.

Thank you all so much for watching. Have a great day and just enjoy these beautiful RB211 engines. They certainly are beautiful!
