This is a review of The Light Seer’s Tarot deck authored and illustrated by Chris-Anne. The deck was published by Hay House Publishers in 2019. This review discusses the deck, the accompanying guidebook, and goes through the deck card by card. This is a 78-card tarot deck, the cards are 2 ¾ x 4 ¾ inches or 7 x 12 cm. This is a Rider-Waite-Smith based deck with 22 Major Arcana – the Fool through the World, and 56 Minor Arcana organized into four suits – Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles. The numbered cards are 1 – 10, the court cards are Page, Knight, Queen and King. There is a chunky card-sized guidebook in the kit, 189 pages, with black-and-white illustrations. There is a general description of the card and it’s symbolism as well as light (upright) and shadow (reversed) keywords, as well as a description of the card and a mantra for the card. There is an extensive introduction on how to use this deck with some spreads.

There is a companion volume, Tarot for Light Seers, published by Hay House in 2024, sold separately. (It does not come with a deck, in the review I was trying to say that the deck came with a guidebook and made hash of the statement. Apologies for the confusion.) This is a 291-page full size full color volume that contains several more unique spreads, and a special spread for each of the major arcana cards, as well as an appendix of tables of correspondences for the astrology, elements, runes, music, and healing for the major arcana, and the correspondences of symbology between all the cards of this deck and the images of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck. It also has extended entries for each card with more in-depth discussions of the meanings and symbology along with the mantras and keywords.
