Here are the 5 stages of this home's Internal Wall Insulation, a type of Solid Wall Insulation. This energy efficiency measure is installed to improve how well your home retains heat, leading to lower bills and a warmer house. It starts with fixing timber battens and framing to the external facing walls. Then insulation material is fitted in between the timber framing. After this, plasterboard is fitted on top of this insulation and a fresh plaster skim is spread across the wall. Once this is dry, your IWI is complete! Ready for painting and decorating.
