PROJECT STEPS
1. Ariana Vilar is an operations specialist at Vitality Bank in Dallas, Texas. Ariana has created an Excel workbook to summarize budget information for each department in the bank. She asks you to add formatting, formulas, and a chart.
Start by changing the theme of the workbook to Office to match other bank workbooks.
2. On the Department Overview worksheet, format the worksheet subtitle as follows:
a. Merge and center the contents of the range B3:L3.
b. Change the font size to 14 point.
c. Change the height of row 3 to 30.00 to match the height of the row containing the worksheet title.
3. Change the width of column N so its contents automatically fit within the column.
4. In cell O3, enter a formula using the TODAY function to display today's date.
5. Format the range B6:G6 as follows to match the formatting of other column headings:
a. Apply the 40% - Accent 6 cell style.
b. Apply bold formatting.
6. Ariana wants you to add the missing data to the Employees table. Enter the values shown in Table 1 into the corresponding cells in the range D6:F6.
7. Copy the contents of the range I17:I22 and paste only the values in the range C7:C12.
8. Ariana also wants you to complete the calculations and format the Summary table. Enter the Turnover % information as follows:
a. In cell J7, enter a formula without using a function that divides the turnover amount (cell I7) by the total employees (cell G7) for the Back Office Department.
b. Fill the range J8:J12 with the formula in cell J7 to enter the turnover percentage for the other departments.
9. Format and complete the Turnover % information as follows:
a. Apply the Percentage number format with zero decimal places to the range J7:J12 to display the values as percentages.
b. In cell J13, enter a formula using the AVERAGE function to determine the average turnover percentage (the range J7:J12).
