Q: What made you decide to join Vendition's apprenticeship program?

Krystal Beachum: The reason why I decided to join the Vendition apprenticeship program was because I looked online and I saw of course how much money you could possibly make with being a SDR but also the fact that it was free to be in the program and my philosophy is - if it's free, then it's for me. And then also after talking with Penelope and her telling me how much I would be supported on my journey was really big because being in tech is it can sometimes be scary. So that was one of the reasons why I decided to join the program.

Q: Describe a time that Vendition helped you on the job or in your career transition.

Krystal Beachum: Yeah, there's has been a few times where Vendition has helped me on the job, but also in my career transition. I believe at the very beginning of my SDR journey I was meeting with I believe it would be my career coach or my career advisor maybe every two weeks to make sure that I was really transitioning into the job well and so we did call reviews, we did mock calls, I went over my LinkedIn strategy I did, we went over my emails. That was really helpful to get me on track and to make sure that I was doing the work well. And even when I was transitioning out of being an SDR, I truly believe because of the conversations that I've had with Penelope, either going through my resume or going through everything I've done as an SDR has really helped me secure a role as a Community Engagement Manager. So those are just a few times that Vendition has helped me either on the job or in my career transition or in my career promotion.

Q: Looking to the future, what most excites you about your career in tech?

Krystal Beachum: What most excites me about my career in tech is the fact that because I was able to get into the door with Vendition, the sky is the limit honestly because this has been a life changing experience not only for my career, my business or my professional career, but also personally. This has not only opened the door for myself, but also for people in my family. And I truly believe being an SDR has equipped me with skills that I can use in any position in the future, whether it's in my current role as a Community Engagement Manager or my dream role that may not be open right now. But being a part of the Vendition family has truly opened up a lot of doors for me and allows me to see there is a future in my professional career in tech.
