In this tutorial I’m going to show you how to find your laptop or computer’s model number in Windows 10.

To get started:
1. Click on the search bar in Windows, and type in “System Information”.
2. Click on the “System Information” application.
3. The system information application will open up, and you can see the model of my laptop under the “System Model” section of the application. In my example, the model of my laptop is a HP EliteBook 840 G7.
4. You can also see other useful information about your computer, such as the operating system, the RAM, the computer name, the processor and much more.

What is a model number?
A model number is a unique identifier assigned to a specific product by its manufacturer to distinguish it from other products in the same line or category. Model numbers are used in various industries, including electronics, appliances, automobiles, and more. They help consumers, retailers, and manufacturers precisely identify and reference a particular product.
