Russia faces a 'fall of Saigon' moment in Damascus: Marwan Bishara

Al Jazeera’s senior political analyst Marwan Bishara highlights a potential turning point for Russia in the coming days, drawing parallels to historical events like the fall of Saigon in 1975. He emphasizes that Russia may face a scenario where its officials are forced to flee from their embassy in Damascus, similar to how the US fled Vietnam. Bishara suggests that if the situation in Syria continues to deteriorate for Russia, Iran, and their ally, Bashar al-Assad, such a scenario becomes not only possible but probable.
