DT-308 Mini Microphone and Rode SC4 TRS to TRRS Adaptor

Hi Guys!

Today I'm checking out my new microphone that I am hoping to use at Bay Area Maker Faire. It is a DT-308 Mini Microphone. In order to use it with my Samsung S5 or S7 it required a adaptor. So I used the Rode SC4 TRS to TRRS Adaptor.

After editing, I can hear a hum. It could be from the florescent lights in the room, but I will have to investigate further to be sure.

In a unsettling discovery, I have learned that this microphone is no longer available at Walmart.com or Amazon.com. For this reason I will definitely be looking forward to everyone's thoughts on the sound quality. I believe I'm still within the return period at Walmart.
