With over 30 years of history, its expansive list of cards, and increasingly complex designs and mechanics, it can be a lot for new players to digest when they are first introduced to the game of Magic the Gathering.

With different popular ways of playing the game, it can also be difficult for existing players of the game to identify the ideal entry point for newcomers, or the best and simplest ways of teaching the game.

In this video, Zjivarra aims to help veterans of the game in finding a solution to that problem. Through his personal experiences of introducing the game to his own friends and other acquaintances, ZJ has found a the path of least resistance. He talks about his own methods for guaranteeing success, when teaching others how to play Magic the Gathering . He goes through his process of teaching the game and expresses in many cases how the rules can be simplified, so that it will be easier for new players to understand ahead of their first few games.

He also shares other useful tips like playing with your cards revealed in the first match. As well as giving information about the existence of the Rookie Decks from Card Kingdom, and encourages players who want to teach the game, to either get them or to build something similar that they can play with, while they teach beginners.
