Wax Carving Spartan Armor

In this video, I show my process for carving a Spartan sword, shield, and helmet out of wax. These carvings are intended to be cast in bronze. The shield was turned on a jewelry flex shaft with a custom handpiece mount for small lathe work. I am using Freeman hard green carving wax and polishing the finished carvings with odorless mineral spirits.
