Stars on a Black Sea is influenced by deep space music, ambient and Berlin School electronic music, and draws from the rich soundscapes of Vangelis and the unwinding analog sequences of Tangerine Dream, Michael Hoenig and Klaus Schultze.
Coriolis has been described by its creators as "Arabian Nights in Space," taking place in the Middle-Eastern and SF-themed Third Horizon. The themes of mysticism, space horror, exploration and political intrigue mix together to create a unique and rich backdrop.
Mike has created a cinematic deep space soundtrack that matched the drama and excitement of the game itself. The Coriolis soundtrack blends deep space textures with tense, rhythmic passages and Arabic elements to evoke the foreboding emptiness of interplanetary voids channeled through modern and vintage circuits.
