Pendency and Vacancies in the Indian Judiciary | Supreme Court | UPSC | NEXT IAS

Supreme court (SC) rejected a PIL that asked for doubling the number of judges to reduce the pendency of cases. According to SC, merely doubling the number of judges is not the solution for pendency of cases as more judges do not mean more case disposal, instead, good judges are required.
