Gwersi Cymraeg: Imperatives (giving instructions and orders!)

Описание к видео Gwersi Cymraeg: Imperatives (giving instructions and orders!)

A little insight into how to use imperatives in Welsh. In short - add "wch" or "a" to the stem of the verb, unless there's an exception, such as "ewch/dos" (for 'go') or "dewch/tyrd" (come).

At the end of the video I gave two instructions... scroll right down to find out if you understood them correctly!

Answers: 1) Ewch i lawr y lôn, trowch i'r chwith a cerddwch am ddau funud = Go down the road, turn left and walk for two minutes
2) Croesa'r lôn, tro i'r dde a rhed lawr y lôn am bum munud = Cross the road, turn right and run down the road for five minutes
*Lôn means "lane" in South Wales, but in the North we just use it for "road" in general... "ffordd" is the preferred word for "road" in the South, but I would translate this more as "way"
