About the Speaker
John Eikelboom, MBBS, MSc, FRCPC is Professor of Medicine, McMaster University, haematologist at the Hamilton General Hospital, and Senior Investigator at the Population Health Research Institute. He heads the Thrombosis Research group at the Population Health Research Institute and has played a leadership role in multiple large, randomized trials of antithrombotic therapies in arterial and venous thrombosis, and in infectious diseases. Over the past 25 years he has received uninterrupted support from peer reviewed funding agencies to support his research and has published more than 750 papers in peer-reviewed journals. Since 2014 has been listed annually by Thomson Reuters in the top 1% of cited researchers worldwide.
