Lamahatta is a small village located 23km away from the main town Darjeeling. Surrounded by pine forest and beautiful view of Mt Kanchenjunga. This picturesque village has been developed as an eco-tourism places in late 2012. Major attractions in Lamahatta are the park and well manicured garden within the village.

There is a lake named Jorepokhri at the top of the park. Jorepokhri means Twin Pond.
