The Tragedy of the College Point Multiplex Cinemas - The Reel King of Cinema

Earlier this year, Queens, New York residents were given the sad news that the College Point Multiplex Cinemas, which is part of National Amusements/Showcase Cinemas' chain of theaters, will be closing after 25 years of providing service to the community (although I mistakenly say that it has been 26 years in the video; the theater opened in 1999). This place has a lot of sentimental value for me, so I stopped by there and shared my thoughts and experiences at the theater. This video was minimally edited, so please excuse the pauses and stutters. I talk about the first time I came here as a little kid, my introduction to the Star Wars franchise, digital vs. film projection, and the sad state of movie theaters in the streaming age.
