This is an essential factor because it shows leadership planning, empathy, and organizational skills.

Employers want to know that you can work in a team. Why? These are the manager who you are going to see every day for ~8 hours a day. You will probably see that coworker more than you see your wife/husband/family/ friends. So they want to know you are compatible with the company and the team. You demonstrate this by being part of clubs, organizations, chapters etc.

For me, the most crucial part about clubs is the connections and friendships you are going to make. School can be stressful. You need something to distract your mind. The best friends I have from college, I met them at different clubs, and they have helped whenever I needed a push.

If you are into any sport, i.e., soccer, volleyball, basketball, swimming, etc., you can be part of the college team, and sports teams have AMAZING BENEFITS. Early registration (you get to pick the best professors) participates against other schools, and the most important one, you get scholarships that can potentially pay for your school career.

If you can’t find a club of your liking, start one! ☝️ I believe you only need 3 people to do so. You will be the president of that club, and you manage to influence others, your club can be one of the bigger ones. Maybe some people are into the same things as you and feel left out because there is no club for them. Be that person. Be the leader. Be the innovator.
