FA20 & FB20 Engine Pivot Oiling System Demonstration

Demonstration on the FA engine pivot and its oiling system to the rockers.

I am doing this with water to give you an idea of how the system is lubricated.

There is no water coming through the pivots or lash adjusters but they're not actually lash adjusters, they’re pivots.

It comes through the little holes next to the pivot, so the actual hole on the pivot is only to relieve oil behind the pivot to stop hydraulic lock. Other than that your hole is really not for lubrication purposes as you see on the side of the pivot there's a little jet which squirts oil up onto the rocker and it's pivot and same on this side this is the exhaust side. It’s a little bit different but it also does a similar sort of thing. I just haven't got enough pressure on this side here to demonstrate how the oiling system works but you could just see the trickle of water in this case but it's generally oil obviously streaming out of these little holes next to the pivot but there is no evidence of oil/water coming out of the pivots.
