Devo - Sydney - November 26 2023

I saw Devo on their first Australian tour in 1982 so it was only fitting that I should see them on their last in 2023. It was their ‘Goodbye to 50 Years of De-evolution’ tour, supposedly the band’s last. But rejoice Spuds! The good news at the end of the show was that we are all to return to the same venue in 2073 to celebrate their centenary. And after all the excitement and memories had at this concert I’m sure they are many people eagerly looking forward to it. In all seriousness it was a terrific night, packed with great songs, and something most other concerts lack, plenty of wonderful costume changes.
