“On the Sunny Side of the Street” - Olivia Van Goor with Clarinetist Dave Bennett Live Jazz at GPUC

Olivia Van Goor (vocals) & Scott Gwinnell (piano) Hosted the first Jazz at GPUC concert at Grosse Pointe Unitarian Church on October 1st, 2023. The two were joined by Samuel Chase Harris (bass) and David Zwolinski (drums) to support the first guest of the series: Dave Bennett.
Dave Bennett is a beloved clarinetist & multi-instrumentalist in Southeast Michigan (and beyond). He put down the other instruments for this show and only played the clarinet, very fitting for an entirely jazz programmed show. From Great American Songbook tunes like "On the Sunny Side of the Street" to tin pan alley "Tiger Rag", the show was a celebration of traditional jazz & swing style music.
The series happens every first Sunday of the month and welcomes a new guest every month.
