Rockaway Roti Shop invited the Muslim community for a free Ramadan dinner (iftar) last Sunday evening. The owner, Hafeez, known as Mr. Rockaway, said since the pandemic started he was giving out free iftar. It was always his desire host the Muslims at the restaurant but he did not have the accommodation. He now owns the Royal Empress Hall in the upper flat of the restaurant and happy to fulfill his desire this year. He provided a scrumptious meal and also a place for prayers.
