Cultivating Creativity | Dorothy Morgan | Middle School & High School Classroom Version

Dorothy Morgan is an artist who is considered one of the Midwest's finest painters. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from South Dakota State University. In 1987, she began showing with John Pence and has staged four solo exhibitions in San Francisco. Morgan paints on panel with thick, luscious impasto. She devotes herself to painting the environment surrounding her home: the South Dakota landscape, excelling at the use of light and strong composition. Her paintings are unmistakably distinctive.
