This event was held to help Yukoners learn about caribou, and equip those involved in caribou management with up-to-date knowledge. The two days featured traditional knowledge, management and science perspectives plus films, art, crafts, and kids' activities. Watch to learn about and get inspired by the Porcupine Caribou Herd, one of the last remaining healthy barren ground herds.
Recently, barren ground caribou have been listed as threatened in Canada. Let's celebrate the health of the Porcupine Caribou Herd and the value of intact habitat for these magnificent animals.
