May Lord Krishna shower his mercy upon you while you hear and chant this maha mantra.

Although there are many benefits of chanting, I am going to briefly explain few of them, knowing which I believe one can appreciate the vast benefits that chanting can bestow.

Chanting clears impure consciousness: In the impure state of consciousness, one identifies oneself with body and forgets his real identification i.e spirit soul. He hovers on the material platform trying to find eternity, knowledge, happiness and finds always defeated in this pursuit. However, by simple chanting one can realize his position as spirit soul and his relationship with the creator and the nature around.

Chanting brings auspiciousness: Our life in one sense is the projection of our desires. Most of the time our desires keep fluctuating and remain unfulfilled, and even if fulfilled we still find emptiness. Have you ever wondered, what desires to have and what desires to achieve ? Chanting helps one purify one’s desires and thereby brings auspiciousness in every sphere of life.
Chanting reveals transcendental knowledge: Be it MIT, Harvard or any other education institution, people are perplexed as what is life, where did one come from, why one exists, what is the purpose of existence etc. As one chants, one can understand the secrets of existential questions.

Chanting brings unlimited happiness: Happiness obtained from material things is limited, temporary, never satisfying and exhausts a person. However, a person engaged in chanting can experience unlimited transcendental bliss from simply repeating this great spiritual sound. In case of material happiness, the happiness obtained from a particular object reduces as one indulges in it for long time while on the other hand a devotee chanting finds increasing happiness as he chants more and more.

Chanting calms the mind: Chanting helps one control the mind very easily. Anyone chanting attentively can easily within few minutes can see his mind becoming more steady and easily controlled.
