GBO2 Full Armor Gundam: Buffed after over 4 years!

Описание к видео GBO2 Full Armor Gundam: Buffed after over 4 years!

This video contains two recent matches I had with the LV5 and LV2 Full Armor Gundam on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 450-650 cost support with excellent burst damage, high stun accumulation, a large ammo capacity cannon with huge splash radius as well as excellent scaling as the suit levels up. Its only real weakness is that it is a little slow for 450-500 cost, though if you play it above 500 then this will be a major weakness. This suit was released in September of 2018 not long after the game first released, and it took until now for the developers to buff it. It used to be quite weak as powercreep began to set it but these buffs have made it worth taking again. The near useless missile bay has had its reload time, accuracy, splash radius and damage much improved. The cannon and beam rifle also got great improvements. The scaling per level in terms of damage and parts slots got buffed to the point where it is worth taking at higher costs if you are confident in your positioning. I hope that you enjoy watching!

The primary weapon of the LV5 FA Gundam is a double beam rifle with 1400x2 power, 3 seconds cooldown, 40%x2 heat, 15 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap, 520m range and 45%x2 stagger value. This has high stagger value, range and damage which makes it an excellent follow-up to a stun from your cannon or missile launcher. The listed stats say that it has a cooldown, but if you fire a single shot at a time by just tapping R2 then you can bypass the cooldown entirely. This lets you save heat by firing once, fire two shots faster than normal or even fire three in a row for burst damage at the cost of overheating.
Its primary melee weapon at LV5 is a beam saber with 1920 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and standard modifiers. The damage is low and the suit lacks balancers, so you won't be using this too often.
Its first sub weapon is a back cannon with 2100 power, 10 ammo, 4 seconds cooldown, 13 seconds reload, 2 seconds swap time, 500m range and 70% stagger value. The damage isn't super high on its own but the other stats are all excellent. You can combo into your beam rifle as your primary damage dealing combo or to break MA. The splash radius is quite insane so hitting it is easy, even hitting multiple enemies at once is possible.
Its second sub weapon is a 445 DPS vulcan with 60 power and 2% stagger value. You have no reason to ever really use this.
Its third sub weapon is a missile bay with 700x6 power, 1.5 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 400m range and 50%x6 stagger value. This was buffed to have its accuracy much improved along with having much more damage, though it still isn't the most accurate against smaller suits if firing at near max range. This is an amazing self defence tool for the 300% total stagger value but the burst damage it offers can easily delete generals if used properly.

The LV5 FA Gundam has 28 ballistic/beam resist and 16 melee resist. This is quite durable for 650 cost, especially considering the low size of the MS itself. The extra parts slots granted to higher levels of FA Gundam due to the recent buff means that it can bulk up quite well, especially if you have the Heavy Armor custom part.
It also has 100 walk speed, 165 boost speed, 40 thrust and 54 turning speed. This is low but manageable mobility for 450-500 cost, but for costs higher than that this will be a struggle. You can still keep up with your team if you choose the right map and stay aware, but it is tough.

Overall I feel like these buffs put the FA Gundam on the map again. Its burst damage now easily surpasses the Mudrock, which previously completely obsoleted the FA Gundam. The consistent stuns offered by the back cannon lets you really help out your team as well. 550-650 cost with this suit is a bit of a meme and maybe not worth using in rated, but if you master this suit at lower costs then it can actually put out really high damage numbers. I can definitely recommend the FA Gundam for beginner players or those who are fine with slower supports, the ability to burst down generals this quickly is very valuable. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
