Doing the first oil change after the rebuild. I put about 3000 miles on it with the synthetic 5W-40. The oil looked to have quite a bit of very fine metallic flake in it. I'm hoping that is just remnants from inside the block/engine that I wasn't able to clean out. I refilled it with 8.5 quarts of the same exact Mercedes-Benz Genuine Engine Oil 5W-40 that we put in most of our vehicles we service. Other vehicles take a different oil weight and specification. I apologize for the shaky phone, I was recording one handed for most of this.
