anxious, alone, weary? He feels your pain… // Worship Session no. 6

The Lord has used these songs to comfort me in some of my darkest moments. Many days, all I could do was sing… When I couldn’t pray, read my bible or speak to anyone due to the immense weight of grief, pain, and bewilderment I lifted these songs to the Lord. Sometimes in faith, but more often than not until I had faith. The Lord has been so faithful to meet me in these songs. He hasn’t always taken away the pain, but he has been the shoulder that I have cried on day after day.

When the fog and weight of this world becomes too much for you to bear, cast your cares upon him. When the Lord allows unbearable pain in your life, be crushed into the palm of his hands. He can handle your grief, he can handle your complaints, he can handle your frustrations. Know this dear saints, if you are in Christ your suffering is not eternal, your pain is not wasted, he is working all things together for your good and his glory. Lift up your head dear brothers and sisters, and see your Savior on the cross, he knows what it’s like to suffer…so rest in him today.
